現職香港中文大學中文系高級導師，專研中國語言學、粵語語法 香港科技大學哲學博士、香港中文大學哲學碩士、文學士 英國語言學會(M.I.L.)會員 最近獲邀為 The Encyclopedia of Chinese Language and Linguistics 撰寫條目「數字、數詞」 獲香港語言學學會最佳博士論文獎(2006)，題為 "An Interface Program for Parameterization of Classifiers in Chinese" 學術著作曾被引用於麻省理工學院的 Linguistic Inquiry、劍橋大學的 Bilingualism: Language and Cognition 等。 現任 HKU-SPACE 校外學術評審、香港朗文中文科學術顧問。 明報專欄作者，專欄包括〈中英對談〉〈中英見面冊〉〈同你講成語〉〈同你講正音〉〈同你講正句〉 專書《粵講粵法》作者 篇幅所限，未能盡錄，詳見網頁。 |

| 摘要 | In this presentation, Prof. Fok will discuss the balance between teaching, research and service as a full time faculty member. The main focus of his presentation will be on how to become an effective faculty member through ensuring effective student learning. Some good teaching practices will be discussed. The PDCA cycle will be used as a basis to discuss teaching pedagogy, as well as assessment of student learning. Open discussion format will be used for the presentation. Participants are encouraged to bring their course syllabi for sharing. |

明愛白英奇專業學校田家炳學生輔導中心的開幕典禮暨牌匾揭幕儀式已於2010年2月8日圓滿舉行。當天下午二時半，慈善家田家炳博士親臨主禮，並與該校近一百五十名師生會面，分享人生經驗和待人處世之道，場面熱鬧，喜樂洋溢。
