2012 & The Future

Offered the accredited Higher Diploma in Pharmaceutical Dispensing Programme and Professional Diploma in Property Management Programme

Has been vigorously developing along the direction of a reputable community college offering quality sub-degree programmes in a wide range of disciplines to provide students with an alternative pathway to access post-secondary education of a professional and vocational orientation to facilitate their academic and career advancement

2009

Equipped with advanced and modern teaching and learning facilities, the 10-storey new campus in Tsueng Kwan O with a floor area of 16,400 m2 was in operation

2008

Amalgamated with Caritas Francis Hsu College administratively to pave the way for the establishment of the future Catholic University in Hong Kong

2007

In collaboration with the University of Huddersfield to offer one-year Top-up Bachelor’s Degree programmes in the disciplines of Hospitality Management, Fashion Design, Graphic Design and Interior Design

2006

The first non-UGC-funded institution to be granted a piece of land in Tseung Kwan O by the HKSAR Government for the construction of a permanent campus

2005

Offered the one-year Top-up Bachelor of Hospitality and Tourism Management Programme in collaboration with the Open University of Hong Kong

2004

Offered the one-year Top-up Bachelor of Business Administration Programme in collaboration with the Open University of Hong Kong

2002

Offered the accredited Associate Degree in Design Programme which provides Secondary 5 and 7 school leavers who have not followed a conventional academic path with the opportunities to receive post-secondary education and pursue professional careers

2001

Offered dual-award Associate Degree programmes in Business and Hospitality Management accredited by the HKCAAVQ (the then HKCAA) to meet the learning needs of Secondary 5 and Secondary 7 school leavers

The first non-University Grants Committee (UGC)-funded institution registered as an official BTEC registered centre. It offers a wide range of BTEC programmes, and the BTEC qualifications are widely recognised by all universities in the world and over 30 leading professional bodies in the UK for partial or whole exemption from their professional examinations

1997

The first institution in Hong Kong approved by the BTEC to offer the two-year BTEC HND and its foundation programmes

1979

Relocated its campus from North Point to Cliff Road, Yaumati, which serves as a base for future development

Relocated its campus from Pokfulam to Ching Wah Street, North Point

1971

Established in 1971 to offer a variety of programmes at certificate and diploma levels
