Professional Diploma in Property Management

This programme aims to provide learners with practical knowledge in property management so as to enhance their professional development in the specific setting of property management environment. Upon completion of the programme, graduates will be equipped for the licensing system and professional requirement in the property management sector. This programme was accredited by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ) at Qualifications Framework (QF) Level 4. Also, this programme has been included in the list of reimbursable course for Continuing Education Fund (CEF) purposes.

Duties

The appointee will be responsible for teaching a Professional Diploma in Property Management programme. Standard Chinese is used as a medium of instruction.

Appointment Criteria

Applicants should have (i) an earned and recognized Master’s degree and/or above in relevant disciplines; and (ii) relevant teaching / professional experience in property management. Preference will be given to those with teaching experience in sub-degree/degree programmes. Professional registration in Hong Kong or overseas is required as appropriate for the particular profession.

Formerly known as Caritas Francis Hsu College (CFHC), Caritas Institute of Higher Education (CIHE) commenced its operations in 1985. The Rita Tong Liu School of Business and Hospitality Management (the School) prides itself in offering professional education in various disciplines of business studies (in both full-time and part-time modes), providing students with learning experiences that are aligned closely with industry trends and market needs, especially in the area of economic, business and technological developments. Our BBA (Hons) Programme, with 4 streams, Accountancy (AC), Corporate Management and Governance (CMG), Hotel Management (HM), Marketing and Event Management (MEM), aims to provide students with professional development, sound education and positive life values. Graduates of BEMDB are expected to become entrepreneurs in their own design businesses or secure successful employment as management trainees or in other project/brand/segment start-up positions in the design or creative industry.

The appointee will be responsible for teaching at the degree and/post-graduate levels in more than one of the related areas, undertake scholarly/research activities and/or programme administration.

Appointment Criteria

Applicants should have (a) a PhD degree or other recognised Doctoral degree in relevant discipline; and (b) relevant teaching/professional experience. Preference will be given to those with good teaching and research record in degree/postgraduate programmes/experience in programme management and accreditation/proven research record, as well as relevant professional qualification.

Applicants may be considered at the rank at Associate Professor or above depending on research record, experience and qualifications. For appointment of Senior Lecturers, holders of Master’s degree with professional membership in Hong Kong or overseas will be considered as appropriate for the particular disciplines.

System Administrator (Network Support), Information Technology Services Centre (Ref.: 21/027/ITSC/SA)

Duties

The appointee will be responsible for (i) providing Network support including administration, configuration, upgrade and deployment; (ii) providing IP Phone support; (iii) performing daily system monitoring for servers, wired and wireless network; (iv) IT vendor management; (v) conducting user training sessions and preparation of operation procedures and user guides; (vi) providing support to computer operation; and (vii) assisting in implementing server virtualization and migration projects and other system administrative work as assigned by his/her supervisor.

Laboratory Technician, School of Health Sciences (Ref.: 19/029/HDPD/LT)

Duties

Responsible for (i) performing regular maintenance of all facilities in the laboratories; (ii) maintaining the daily operation of the laboratories and managing the inventory of the facilities and equipment in the laboratories; and (iii) assisting academic staff in the delivery of teaching activities in the laboratories. The appointee may work under different schedules due to specific operational requirements, such as supervising laboratory classes scheduled for weekday evenings and weekends.

Appointment Criteria

Applicants should (i) have a Higher Diploma or above in Pharmaceutical Dispensing, Chemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology or equivalent. Working experience in providing pharmacy service is preferred. (ii) be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese (preferably including Putonghua); and (iii) have good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills and also the ability to work independently.
