Laboratory Technician, School of Health Sciences (Ref.: 17/021/HDPD/LT)

Duties

Responsible for (i) performing regular maintenance of all facilities in the laboratories; (ii) maintaining the daily operation of the laboratories and managing the inventory of the facilities and equipment in the laboratories; and (iii) assisting academic staff in the delivery of teaching activities in the laboratories. The appointee may work under different schedules due to specific operational requirements, such as supervising laboratory classes scheduled for weekday evenings and weekends.

Appointment Criteria

Applicants should (i) have a Higher Diploma or above in Pharmaceutical Dispensing, Chemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology or equivalent. Working experience in providing pharmacy service is preferred. Duties

The appointee is responsible for (i) providing administrative support to the fund-raising team, ensuring smooth donation transactions, issuing thank you letters, answering inquiries on donation transactions; (ii) managing fund-raising database, including data entry, record update, generating reports for data analysis; (iii) providing customer services to donors for acknowledgement, ensuring proper naming on facilities; and (iv) providing logistics support for fund-raising activities such as Parish visits, campus tours for donors, donor events etc.

Duties

Manager, Information Technology Services Centre (Ref.: 17/072/ADMIN/MITSC)

Duties

The appointee will be responsible for assisting the Director, ITSC, for managing the day-to-day operations of the Information Technology Services Centre (ITSC): (i) managing and delivering infrastructure ensuring sound architecture, reliability, technology and function across network, servers, storage, database, application platform and end user equipment; (ii) providing end user help desk and support services on all IT services; (iii) providing on-call support to ensure systems availability in accordance to target service level; (iv) directing, implementing and overseeing standard IT practices, which include: Backups, Information Security Safeguards, System Monitoring, Technical Upgrades and Enhancements; (v) liaising with vendors to deliver various IT projects; and (vi) undertaking such other duties as assigned by supervisors.

System Administrator, Information Technology Services Centre (Ref.: 17/073/ITSC/SA)

Duties

The appointee will be responsible for (i) performing daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes; (ii) Windows/Linux Server and Network support including administration, configuration, upgrade, deployment; (iii) IT vendor management and other administrative work related to IT; (iv) developing and maintaining installation and configuration procedures; (v) conducting user training sessions and preparing user guides; and (vi) implementing server virtualization and migration projects, etc.

Appointment Criteria

Applicants should: (i) have a recognised Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines; (ii) have at least 3 years’ relevant work experience; (iii) have knowledge of VMWare, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange; (iv) have excellent analytical skills; and (v) be proactive, a good team player and able to work independently with capability in compiling documentation and a sense of accountability.
