Opening Ceremony for the Tin Ka Ping Student Development Centre

關愛與喜樂的結合

明愛白英奇專業學校田家炳學生輔導中心的開幕典禮暨牌匾揭幕儀式已於2010年2月8日圓滿舉行。當天下午二時半,慈善家田家炳博士親臨主禮,並與該校近一百五十名師生會面,分享人生經驗和待人處世之道,場面熱鬧,喜樂洋溢。

田博士與學員交流期間,多次強調德育培養的重要性,鼓勵學生建立積極和正面的人生觀,並寄語他們「勤奮、好學和不怕吃虧」是邁向豐盛、富足人生的必備條件。是次交流會雖然只是歷時四十多分鐘,但田博士的關愛、謙遜、睿智足以讓在場人士受用終生。

香港明愛副總裁暨教育服務部長閻德龍神父致辭時更借用聖經警句讚揚田博士對中港台公益事業的無私貢獻 ---「在各方面我都給你們立了榜樣,就是必須這樣勞動,扶助病弱者;要記住主耶穌的話,他說過:『施予比領受更為有福』。」(宗20:35)。閻神父表示田博士和保祿都是人們生活中的好榜樣,對周遭的弱小者所作出的付出和奉獻,充分見證了『施予比領受更為有福』這一句話,使人們在屬靈上均有所學習和領悟。

是次典禮的牌匾揭幕儀式於下午三時半順利舉行,田家炳博士在主禮嘉賓的陪同下參觀校園,隨後更於實習餐廳享用由該校款待管理學系親手烹調的美點,氣氛融洽。整個活動於當天下午四時半圓滿結束。

As a souvenir of appreciation of Dr. Tin Ka Ping, MBE, and his foundation’s support, Rev. Joseph Yim presents a portrait of Dr. Tin Ka Ping, MBE, painted by one of the students from the Department of Design of Caritas Bianchi College of Careers.
